What’s your skin type? Care to know your skin!

It’s common that our skin type changes based on weather and climate. So the first step regarding your skin is to identify which skin type do you have!

With that, you will be sure what right skincare routine you have to follow. And more important, which skin products you need to dab on to your face daily.

The basic 5 skin types are

  • Normal
  • Dry
  • Oily
  • Combination
  • Sensitive.

Normal

The perfect diva skin all desire for. The “normal skin”, defined as ‘skin that can tolerate most products without any negative reaction’.

  • Isn’t too oily or too dry
  • Isn’t too sensitive to new products
  • Pores are not too large or visible
  • Free from redness or blemishes
  • Clear and smooth skin tone
  • Radiant complexion

Dry

Does your skin feel like sandpaper? If it does, then you might be a victim of

  • Dull and rough skin texture
  • Skin feels tight
  • Skin pores not visible
  • Lack of natural sebum
  • Feels Itchiness or red patches
  • More visible lines or cracks appear

Oily

When someone asks what highlighter do you use? And your inner soul shouts out loud, It’s called sweat! Damn You!

I can feel you. So yeah! The mistaken dewy glow natural look brings

  • Greasy skin texture
  • Skin feels too shiny all over
  • Skin pores enlarged
  • Prone to blackheads, pimples, or acne more often
  • Likely to have fewer wrinkles

Combination

The mixture of two different skin types at the same time leads to combination skin. Like you feel dry or normal in some areas and oily at other areas of the face.

  • Oily T-zone and normal to dry cheeks
  • Occasionally enlarged pores
  • Mild skin sensitivity
  • Likely to have blackheads around the nose

Sensitive

You might not know yet until a small portion of any skin product causes a bad reaction to your face or body. Your extra sensitive skin can overlap with dry skin.

You opt for more natural and organic skin products and likely to apply as few as possible products you can. So your skin won’t make you suffer.

Major symptoms of sensitive skin are

  • Dryness and itchiness over the skin
  • Red burning patches (using chemicals products)
  • Negative reaction to alcoholic and fragrance skin products
  • Easily inflamed or stings

Remember, no two skins are alike and what works best for others doesn’t mean it will work right for you too. Better to identify your skin type before heading to shop for any skincare products. So it can give you better and long-lasting results!

Drop me a message and let me know, which type of skin do you have?
